It’s a Bluetooth device that pairs with your phone so you can pretend it’s the Enterprise calling when it’s really just your mom.
This device is supposedly the most accurate recreation of the original communicator ever produced — the design was created by scanning an original prop from the show. Most of the casing is made from textured ABS plastic that has been textured to match the original. The frame, however, is made from die cast metal and machined aluminum.
