The England's 20-year-old sealed his £49m switch from Liverpool on Tuesday as the summer's most protracted and bitter transfer saga came to an end. He will now immediately link up with his new colleagues as they prepare for the Premier League campaign tour.
Sterling was pictured at Manchester Airport on Wednesday morning to catch a flight to Abu Dhabi, and then on to Australia. Manchester City, who kicked off their tour against Adelaide United today, face Melbourne City on Saturday but it is thought only the players who flew out with the initial party will be considered.
