Cristiano Ronaldo has mocked media reports that he is unsettled at Real Madrid - and hails them the best club in the world. The world player of the year has broken a silence that lasted half of last season after barely making any public statements since the 4-0 derby day drubbing at the hands of Atletico.
At the time, he claimed: "My lips are sealed." But that silence has ended amid reports suggesting that he is unhappy at the Bernabeu, having being linked with a potential move to Paris Saint-Germain or back to Manchester United this summer.
Real Madrid ended last season without silverware, despite Ronaldo's best goalscoring efforts, and manager Carlo Ancelotti was sacked from his role. He has since been replaced by Rafa Benitez.
