Sergio Ramos has informed Real Madrid he wants to join Manchester United. It has been stated yesterday that Manchester City are prepared to rival United in the bidding for the unsettled Real star. But Ramos has told Real chief executive Jose Angel Sanchez in face-to-face talks that he is determined to quit the Bernabeu to move to Old Trafford. Ramos’ stance will increase the pressure on Real to accept United’s bid of £28.37m (40m euros). Real have rejected the offer, but United believe it is a realistic valuation of the centre-half.
