And Chile Strikes Again.....

Eduardo Vargas’ motivational goal killed off 10-man Peru to send hosts Chile into the final of Copa America for the first time in 28 years. The ex-Queens Park Rangers man restored Chile’s lead in the 64th minute with a 25-yard thunderbolt moments after Gary Medel’s own goal had cancelled out Vargas’ first-half strike. The first flashpoint in a tense game between two historic rivals came on 20 minutes when Peru centre-back Carlos Zambrano was sent off for picking up a second booking.
